Delco Times features our 2024 Thanksgiving Food Box Drive

Greenhouse Project Pastor and President John Clifford with supporters, from left, Bob Rafferty of Rafferty Suburu, Chester councilwoman Tamika Williams and Chester Mayor Stefan Roots.

Special thanks to YOU, our faithful supporters, who said YES to providing holiday meals last month to families facing food scarcity.

Because of your generosity, this years Thanksgiving Food Box Drive was our largest yet… blessing an incredible (and very grateful) 200 families in need.

That's 200 families multiplied by # of people sitting at their table... could be well over 1,000 people?! Talk about exponential impact! ️

You and I both know that when a family feels seen, supported and cheered on - they can accomplish anything.

It’s always about people and the stories God is writing through our ministry, but in a spirit of celebration with some numbers attached… both this year and last year, the Lord provided an increase to the amount of Thanksgiving meals given out on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

This year, the resources grew from 150 to 200 complete meals given out - you helped make it possible to provide a 33% increase to reach more families than ever with a healthy holiday meal!

The Thanksgiving turkey drive experience on Nov 26 was so inspiring, loyal community partners including Bob Rafferty, owner of Rafferty Suburu, came early to volunteer his time, serving neighbors with fresh produce alongside other volunteers and men from our recovery houses.

Chester’s councilwoman Tamika Williams and Chester Mayor Stefan Roots also arrived early to connect directly with neighbors waiting on our block, and to express their gratitude for how this outreach brings life, health and hope to our community.

Be sure to check out Greenhouse Project featured in the Delco Times sharing more about this meaningful outreach event!

Abundance was in the air as fresh food arrived and neighbors gathered. Prayers were given, neighbors cared for, more helpers than ever - young and old - joined in to create a dignified, God-honoring atmosphere of hope and love.

Thank you for helping us meet immediate needs for so many families facing hunger this holiday.
