Calling all warriors on fire for Chester — Join 912House ministry

“I’ve been praying for something like this,” one woman said.

A few weeks ago, Greenhouse Project made over 50 direct connections with folks in a new-to-us community around our second ministry house location, 912House in Chester’s west side.

Many people opened their doors during our prayer walk outreach, sharing struggles and receiving prayer.

One woman gave her life to Jesus!

Several others we learned are already believers, excited that a ministry house like ours is finally here.
 

The biggest encouragement from this recent outreach, one of the first we’ve done as we launch 912House, is a palpable sense of readiness from both our team and new neighbors.

We are hungry for Jesus to do His work.

Hope is in the air.
 

Many we spoke with share a burning desire for this community – an area worn down by persistent violence, drug abuse, poverty and desolation – to grow, thrive, and be made new.

Friends, only God can do this.

Ministry leaders Donny and Rachelle Martin have moved into the newly renovated 912House to prayerfully do the foundational work in their neighborhood.

It looks like lots of prayer, asking God to highlight specific people to connect with.

There are many prayer walks, time on the front stoop, intentional conversations with neighbors, and seeking God to highlight the natural community boundaries.

During outreach we knock on every door, introduce ourselves, offer prayer, share Jesus and give an open invite to join our church.

This is a sweet season for Greenhouse Project as the preparations and hard work to get into the 912House transform into actively doing ministry each day in a new spot!

• Prayer & Evangelism Outreach is happening Saturday, 3/25 at 912House from 12:45 - 2pm

• Special Vision Casting service on Sunday 3/26, with dinner, will include a 912House tour and five year outlook
