Get Your Hands Dirty, Do Some Reno

Now is the time for action!

As major renovations for the 912 House are underway, we invite you to get involved. We promise: the Before / After on this project will be one for the fixer upper books. Take a look from a recent reno day:

If you love to see real life change–and get your hands dirty– this project is for you!

Located on the west side of Chester, and a short two mile drive from the 42House, our second location (affectionately called the ‘912 House’) is in one of the most challenged areas in Chester. This is where the Greenhouse Project needs to be, with the most vulnerable in the city. Because the 912 House is in uninhabitable condition, we’ve embarked on prayer meetings and demolition projects to prepare for the transformation this house deserves.

We are calling all volunteers, contractors, business owners and influencers to come serve on demo days and to share about the amazing work we are doing.

Here is how you can help:

Sign up for a 912 House Volunteer Day

Our calendar is filling up with dates for volunteers to do some demo, clean up and building projects at the 912 House. Every date has a different reno focus, but all promise that you can work with your hands, make new friends, and use your passions.

Share, share, share

From the beginning of Greenhouse Project, we have prayed for five community houses in the most difficult neighborhoods, and God has answered those prayers with this second location. Why do we seek the most difficult places? We believe God loves to restore people, as all people have value. Many times the people living in the most difficult places are forgotten. Much of my own life transformation is thanks to those people who sowed into me without asking for anything in return. As one of my mentors Charles Knuckles once said, “John, don't thank me. I'm not pouring into you for applause–I'm challenging you to reach out and help the next person. A candle loses nothing lighting another candle; it makes everything around it brighter.”

We at Greenhouse Project help people grow in difficult places through Church fellowships, Recovery coaching and counseling, after school programs, mobile food distribution and community outreaches and we cannot do this alone, it takes an army. That's why we need your help in launching the 912 House, so a Christ led family can move in and launch our life changing initiatives. Now is the time to join in the battle toi helping families and individuals become restored!
