Homework Club Launching this Fall

Big news: Our after-school homework club is set to launch this September! We are prayerfully asking for volunteers and educators with a heart for at-risk youth to join our team so together we can make a big impact in Chester.

Did you know... Chester schools rank among the lowest in PA.

Broken or struggling families, unstable home environments, and lack of resources are main contributors to kids who fall behind or exit the school system. This can start to change as youth in our community are offered safe, accessible education support. For them, it means a chance to stay on track with studies, empowerment to become lifelong learners, and in the long run, overcoming destructive lifestyle cycles.  

After-school tutoring and mentorship has always been part of the Greenhouse vision. Our goal is to host up to 6 kids each week at our home and provide homework and extra tutoring help using a mentorship model that encourages passions and leadership skills.

There are many expenses involved in the launch like school supplies, education tools, and renovating the Greenhouse basement into a work space for kids. Most importantly we need VOLUNTEERS. Because relationships are vital to everything we do, we are not looking for volunteers to just help with homework, but those who have a heart for mentoring vulnerable youth. 

We are ready to unlock the potential God has for these kids. Will you join us?
